MADISON, GA – Laura Dyar of Watkinsville, GA turned herself in to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office today after a Special Agent with the GBI’s Milledgeville Office obtained an arrest warrant charging Dyar with one count of Child Molestation, one count of Enticing a Minor, and one count of Sexual Assault.  This arrest is the result of a joint investigation conducted by the GBI, the Madison, Georgia Police Department and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.  Dyar, 27, with the Morgan County Middle School was identified as the victim’s teacher.

Also arrested was the student’s legal guardian, Twanna Clay, 21, of Madison, GA.  Arrest warrants were obtained for Clay Charging her with two counts of Theft by Extortion and one count of Criminal Intent to Commit Theft by Extortion.
The investigation is ongoing.
