Dawson, GA. – Arrest warrants were served charging Charlie Amos Wilson, III with the murder of Tameda Ferguson and her unborn child.  Wilson, 26 years old, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of feticide.  Today, at approximately 2 p.m., as Wilson was traveling through Tift County, his vehicle was spotted by a Tift County deputy.  Wilson was arrested without incident by law enforcement with the Tift County Sheriff’s Department.  

The body of Tameda Ferguson, 30 years old, was discovered in her home at 3707 Doverel Highway, Dawson, Georgia in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 29th.  Terrell County Sheriff John Bowens requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation assist the sheriff’s office with the death investigation.  Ms. Ferguson, who was reported to be 8 ½ months pregnant, had apparently suffered a gunshot wound.  The investigation lead to Charlie Wilson, a known associate of Ms. Ferguson.  Wilson lives at 301 Tarpon Trace, Byron, Georgia.

Wilson is being held at the Tift County jail.
