Fairmont, GA – Thomas Rodriguez, 36, of 191 West Destiny Drive in Fairmont was arrested yesterday and charged with four counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children (Possession of Child Pornography),   The arrest was made after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at Rodriguez’s residence where evidence of child pornography was located.

A GBI investigation was initiated after numerous reports were received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding emails containing suspected child pornography.  The GBI’s investigation led them to the West Destiny Drive residence.  At that location, GBI Digital Forensic Investigators conducted forensic previews on computers found inside the residence.  Images of suspected child pornography were found on the computers. Rodriguez was arrested at the residence and transported to the Pickens County Jail.
