Dalton, GA – Dalton Police officer Daniel Harrison Tolbert, 32, was arrested on December 18 charged with one count of child molestation.  Tolbert allegedly molested a girl multiple times prior to June of this year.  The girl, who Tolbert knows, is under the age of ten.

On December 9, the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding the child molestation allegations.  The sheriff’s office contacted the GBI the same day and requested the GBI investigate the allegations.  When the GBI investigation is completed it will be turned over to the district attorney’s office. 

Tolbert, originally from Fayetteville, Georgia, is being held in the Whitfield County Jail.
