Thomson, GA. – On December 21, 2014, at approximately 1:00 PM, the GBI was requested to assist the Thomson Police Department with a homicide investigation that occurred at a residence in the 400 block of Shiloh Road. At approximately 12:44 PM, officers with the Thomson Police Department were dispatched to the Shiloh Road residence to conduct a welfare check on a female who resided at the residence. Thomson Police officials discovered the deceased body of a female inside the home. The identification of the female is not being released pending the notification of next of kin. The GBI Region 7 Field Office responded and began conducting an investigation.   

The victim’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, GA where an autopsy will be performed at a later time. The investigation is ongoing.
