Moultrie, Georgia - On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Thomasville Field Office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Moultrie Police Department to investigate the murder of Shvensky Collins in Moultrie, Georgia. Collins died from a gunshot wound.

On Thursday, May 25, 2017, about 4:30 pm, Agents with the GBI and Moultrie Police Department arrested Thomas Lee Tyler, aka“SQUEEZE”,  for Collins' death.  Tyler, 37, has been charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime,and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  Tyler is being housed at the Colquitt County Jail.

The investigation is currently in progress and will continue as agents and Moultrie Police continue identifying and interviewing witnesses.  Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Moultrie Police Department at 229-985-3131 or the Thomasville GBI Regional Office at 229-225-4090.
