GBI / Moultrie Police make arrest in Shvensky Collins Murder case
Moultrie, Georgia - On Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at approximately 1:15 a.m., the Thomasville Field Office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was requested by the Moultrie Police Department to investigate the murder of Shvensky Collins in Moultrie, Georgia. Collins died from a gunshot wound.
On Thursday, May 25, 2017, about 4:30 pm, Agents with the GBI and Moultrie Police Department arrested Thomas Lee Tyler, aka“SQUEEZE”, for Collins' death. Tyler, 37, has been charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime,and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Tyler is being housed at the Colquitt County Jail.
The investigation is currently in progress and will continue as agents and Moultrie Police continue identifying and interviewing witnesses.
