Arrest Made in 2012 Thomson, GA Murder
Thomson, GA – On November 11, 2012, the GBI was requested to assist the Thomson Police Department with a death investigation of Ronald Alton Willoughby, who was 62 years old. Willoughby died as a result of a single gunshot wound to the chest. Through the investigation, it was determined the manner of death of Ronald Willoughby was a homicide.
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the case was presented to a McDuffie County Grand Jury and the grand jury indicted Ronald Willoughby’s former wife, Kaye Ivie Willoughby, age 61, with murder. A murder warrant was signed by Superior County Judge Britt Hammond.
On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Walton County Sheriff’s Office, along with GBI agents, arrested Kaye Willoughby in Monroe, Georgia.
Kaye Ivie Willoughby has now been charged with Murder and she will later be transported from Walton County Detention Center to the McDuffie County Detention Center.
