Dawson, GA- On Friday, July 28, 2017, at approximately 2:20 a.m. the Dawson Police Department requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Sylvester Regional Office with a shooting investigation. The shooting took place in the 500 block of 14th Ave. in Dawson. Thirty six (36) year old Corey Jermaine Johnson, a Dawson resident, was found to have suffered multiple apparent gunshot wounds. Johnson was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries and has since been released.
