Arrest of Former Fort Valley Police Officer
Fort Valley, GA (July 6, 2018) – On Friday, July 6, 2018, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested former Fort Valley Police Officer Vetrimyer “Vet” Miller, B/M, 45 years old, from Warner Robins, GA. Miller has been charged with Unlawful Possession of Identification Documents {O.C.G.A. 16-9-4 (b) (6) – Misdemeanor}. In July 2017, while Miller was detached to the Peach County Drug Unit, he used his official position as a police officer to obtain personal identification documents, specifically motor vehicle registration information, on a person that was not under criminal investigation. He unlawfully accessed the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicle Registration database for personal gain. Miller voluntarily turned himself in to the Peach County Sheriff’s Office on this date. He was released on his own recognizance after the arrest booking process was completed.
