UPDATE - Arrest in Thomson Homicide Investigation
Thomson, GA (July 23, 2018) - On Monday, July 23, 2018, Tobuyous Ramon Reynolds, 36, of Warrenton, GA turned himself in to the Warrenton Police Department for the murder of Stantavious Latimore, of Thomson, Georgia. Reynolds was transported to the McDuffie County Detention Center where he is currently being held.
The Thomson Police Department, McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office, Warrenton County Sheriff’s Office, and the GBI have been working jointly on leads in this case since the initial request by the Thomson Police Department on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Thomson, GA (July 18, 2018) – On July 18, 2018, at approximately 7:45 a.m. the Thomson Police Department responded to a shooting that occurred at a residence in the 800 block of Clements Street in Thomson, GA. Upon the arrival of law enforcement officers, it was discovered that Stanvious La Vonse Latimore, 30, of Thomson had been shot. Latimore was pronounced dead at the scene.
The GBI responded and began conducting an investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed that Tobuyous Ramon Reynolds, 36, of Thomson traveled to the Clemons Street residence and shot Latimore. An arrest warrant for the offense of Murder has been issued for Reynolds. Reynolds is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Reynolds is asked to call the Thomson Police Department at 706-595-2166, the GBI Office at 706-595-2575, or the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office at 706-595-2145.
Lattimore’s body will be transported to the GBI Crime Lab in Decatur, GA where an autopsy will be performed at a later time. The investigation is ongoing. Upon completion the case will be turned over to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
