GBI Makes Arrest in Berrien County Death Investigation

Enigma, GA (March 6, 2022) – The GBI has arrested and charged Aaron Hedman, 25, of Jesup, with involuntary manslaughter in reference to the death of a 15-year-old from Fitzgerald, GA.

The GBI was requested to assist with a death investigation on Monday, January 30, 2023. Preliminary information indicates that on Sunday, January 29, 2023, Hedman and others were at the Paradise Public Fishing Area in Berrien County. While there, a 15-year-old was on the back of Hedman’s car when he fell from the car and sustained injuries from the fall and died.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
